Check in and security in Mumbai were quick and easy.
Air India are doing their very best to improve their service but have a long way to go. This was put on full display at the boarding gate as I was travelling with my mum and my grandfather. As he was in a wheelchair, he required a member of staff to assist him onto the aircraft and we had priority boarding access as we were flying in Premium Economy. But we were asked to wait for the whole time until boarding ended. The gate was about to close and still nobody came to assist my grandfather. Eventually, after my mum spoke to the staff, we finally boarded the aircraft. Not good enough, Air India.

My seat for the day was 5A, a window seat. It had a huge amount of legroom and a great recline. We were given the menu card and we took off on time. After take-off finished, the crew came over and gave us new menu cards, as the old ones were the wrong ones. Nevertheless, we ordered and the food was very good. I had Amristari Chole (spicy chickpeas in a gravy) with Pav (an Indian bread). We landed right on time in Chandigarh.
